Hello! Our game is available for download to play for Windows and Mac!! Please write any comments whether you’re going to be nice or critical.
Honestly, I (shunao) learned a lot from working on this, especially with a group of people who I have never worked with, and also working with a team where we weren’t able to see how each person was working. A few things to note:
- As the lead, I did rather poorly as I was unable to work on ¼ of the two months because I had to travel overseas and unable to work alongside my team due to little to no internet connection and social media.
- Since communication, generally, wasn’t very good. Even though we Skype’d mostly everyday and kept each other up to date on what we did, we weren’t able to do fixes and changes quickly or see how things looked in game until much later.
- Overstepped my boundaries on what I could do.
- Background art and tiles were rushed. Neither of those are of my strong points and I personally wished I did not put all the art assets into my hands.
- The thought was that the game was to be short and arcade-y, where there are check points, three lives (after health is depleted), and no save points.
- The game was made within 2 months (not including the extension since we didn’t realize it).
